Learn storytelling techniques from a professional
Engaging storytelling is the key to successful businesses, museums, and cultural organizations. The workshop will explore techniques and tools to build the fundamentals of an effective story. By utilizing exercises designed to build the tool used in storytelling, Booth will introduce concepts like foundations of narration, plot, timing, and characterization. Following basic skills, participants will engage in storytelling projects related to the museum and its artifacts.
The program will begin at 1:30 PM with registration open to all members of the public. Participation from the staff and volunteers at historical sites, museums, and local businesses is encouraged. The workshop lasts from 2.5 to 3 hours.
Tickets are $20; NMCWM members will receive a discounted rate of $10. Space is limited, so early registration is highly recommended.
