Explore the galleries and exhibits at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine on a guided tour with our expert staff and experienced docents!
On July 24 at 11:00 AM, join us for a 60 minute tour that highlights the incredible artifacts and stories collected at the Museum. Learn more about the painful realities of Civil War medicine, from disease to surgery, in the era before the advent of germ theory. But also discover how the Civil War shaped modern American medicine – from anesthesia, to ambulances, to triage, and much, much more. We’ll highlight the individuals who saved lives during the conflict and the harrowing stories of the patients they treated.
