Tour Clara Barton’s boarding house home and office with the man who saved it.
Over twenty years ago, Richard Lyons was on a routine inspection when he discovered over a thousand nineteenth century artifacts tucked away in the attic of an old boarding house. Many of those artifacts belonged to Clara Barton. This led to a nearly twenty year project to save the Clara Barton’s home and office and turn it into a museum.
Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Mr. Lyons’ discovery with the man himself. On Saturday November 5th, you have the opportunity to tour the museum with Mr. Lyons, and hear about his experiences and his work to save the space. Lyons give tours at 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
