Join the Between the Lines Book Club hosted by National Museum of Civil War Medicine staff members Rachel Moses and Tracey McIntire for an online discussion on November 14 at 7PM.
We will be discussing Dr. Mary Walker’s Civil War: One Woman’s Journey to the Medal of Honor and the Fight for Women’s Rights by Theresa Kaminski. The author herself will be joining us for the discussion.

Theresa Kaminski holds a PhD in history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For more than 25 years she worked as a history professor at a state university where she taught courses on American women’s history, feminism and women’s rights, and women and war. She is the author of a trilogy of nonfiction history books on American women in the Philippine Islands during World War II, the most recent of which is Angels of the Underground: The American Women Who Resisted the Japanese in the Philippines in World War II. She is currently completing the first full-length biography of America’s favorite cowgirl, Dale Evans. Theresa lives with her husband in a small town outside of Madison, Wisconsin.
