National Museum of Civil War Medicine
Open Thursdays – Sundays
The National Museum of Civil War Medicine (NMCWM) will be open to the public Thursdays – Sundays during regular hours, and Monday – Wednesday by appointment only. For appointments, visitors will need to reserve a time at least 24 hours in advance to ensure staff availability.
“We’re thrilled to be able to safely welcome people back to the museum. Obviously as a medical museum there’s so many relevant stories from history to tell and learn from in the midst of a pandemic. History offers hope – as long as you learn from it,” says Executive Director David Price.
During any tour of the NMCWM, every safety precaution recommended by the CDC and State of Maryland will be followed including maintaining a six-foot social distance, carefully cleaning all surfaces between tours, regularly using hand sanitizer, and more. Masks are no longer required if you are vaccinated.
