Help us raise $5,000 for Clara Barton’s Missing Soldiers from May 13th to June 12th. Clara Barton’s Missing Soldiers Office was one of twenty four historic sites in the Washington D.C. Metro area selected to participate in the Partners in Preservation Grant Campaign that ran from April 24th to May 10th. CBMSO received a $5,000 grant to help get us up and running!
Our goal is to match that $5000 from supporters like you. Your money will go towards carpeting and lighting of the first floor visitor center.
NMCWM Memberships
The National Museum of Civil War Medicine Membership program provides financial support for interpretation, program and expansion. By becoming a member you will receive exclusive benefits and discounts for the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, Pry House Field Hospital Museum and Clara Barton’s Missing Soldiers Office, opening in late 2013. Your financial commitment ensures that the legacy of Clara Barton, Jonathan Letterman and the thousands who provided comfort and care to the sick and injured during the Civil War will live on. The Barton Aid Society
The NMCWM now bears the responsibility to raise 4.75 million dollars in order to preserve and operate the Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office. This is a unique and extremely important historic site. The GSA has committed to spending over one million dollars on renovations as well. In this time of economic stress, this commitment proves that the United States of America believes in this museum and its importance in telling our national story. The NMCWM believes in it as well and we need your help.
In honor of the 100th Anniversary of Clara’s passing we have established the Clara Barton Centennial Fund. This will be a group made up of the first 100 people to give at least $100 to the CBMSO. Show your support and recognition of Barton’s nationwide campaign to identify more than 20,000 missing soldiers through her Missing Soldiers Office through a donation to this initial campaign. Her efforts throughout the war were nothing less than heroic and her legacy of servant leadership is worthy of remembrance and ongoing study.

Pry House Patriot
First introduced in the summer of 2005, the Pry House Patriot pledge program was established as an opportunity for a group of donors to make a difference. All funds received support the upkeep of the Pry House Field Hospital Museum exhibits and facility on the Antietam Battlefield. Pry House Patriots receive a quarterly newsletter, enjoy invitations to special Pry House events and participate in a Pry House Patriot Work Day such as preparing the Pry House for the upcoming season. Additionally, patriots receive all benefits of a Benefactor Level Member.
