Strange Cases and Painful Peculiarities – After Hours Tour
October 27 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT| $15
Join the staff and volunteers of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine for an “After Hours” tour highlighting cases of “painful peculiarity.”
“Strange Cases and Painful Peculiarities” will take visitors through the darkened galleries of the museum and examine the Civil War’s grizzly side on Friday, October 27th.
On this lantern-led tour of Frederick’s most haunted building, visitors will hear ghastly true tales from the Civil War – stories of grave robbers, experimental surgery, battlefield horrors, and more. The National Museum of Civil War Medicine at 48 E. Patrick Street in Downtown Frederick is located in the Carty Building, a structure that hosted embalmers during the American Civil War and served as an undertaking business for more than a century.
Tours will take place at 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8 PM. Click below to purchase tickets for your preferred tour. Tickets are $15 per person.
Purchase tickets early as these tours will sell out.
