The Twenty-Third Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine will be held October 9-11, 2015 in Frederick, MD. The Conference features lectures and scholarly research on topics relating to Civil War Medicine. This year the Conference will feature a tour of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, a hospital tour of downtown Frederick, a social time with heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a dinner. We invite you to save the date, to attend and to submit proposals for lectures.
For the first time, the 8th Annual Major Jonathan Letterman Medical Excellence Award dinner will be held the same week and will be the official kick off of the 23rd Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine on October 8, 2015. It will give attendees of the Conference an opportunity to attend this very special dinner which honors those who toil endlessly to advance modern medical care and conditions for our fighting troops, wounded warriors and civilian population. One organization and one individual will receive the Major Jonathan Letterman Medical Excellence Award, in recognition of keeping the spirit of Major Jonathan Letterman alive.
The Twenty-Third Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine will now be held on October 9-11, 2015, and the Eighth Annual Major Jonathan Letterman Medical Excellence Award dinner will be held on October 8th, 2015, at 6:00 pm at the Bethesda North Marriott.

Come learn the facts at the Twenty-third Annual Conference on Civil War Medicine, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 9-11, 2015, in Frederick, MD. The National Museum of Civil War Medicine has assembled an impressive panel of prominent historians, authors, and medical professionals speaking on a wide variety of topics relating to Civil War medicine.
Highlights of the conference include seven unique lectures all three days, a Saturday tour of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and a bus tour of the hospital sites in Frederick, MD.
