We lost our beloved Bettie Delaplaine suddenly in October. We are honored to have been chosen by her family as a charity to accept donations in her memory. Bettie loved the NMCWM and was an integral part of getting it off the ground. We have received nearly $5000 thus far.

Dutch Oven Cooking Class

  Saturday, October 25, 2014 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM The Pry House Field Hospital Museum will host a class taught by expert dutch oven cooks, Meredith Poffenberger, Jackie Greer, and Robert Stransky. Visitors will see first-hand the technique of cooking with dutch ovens, which were an integral part of both home and camp cooking during the Civil War Era. Visitors can observe the unique style of cooking with these traditional vessels, as well as their impressive versatility for preparing a wide range of food.
