 o prepare medications from scratch rather than dispense pre-made formulati
 ons. Pharmacist and Civil War researcher Guy Hasegawa<strong> </strong>wil
 l describe how written prescriptions were interpreted and how apothecaries
  prepared\, packaged\, and dispensed medicines. The lecture will include a
  display of antique pharmaceutical implements and a demonstration of how p
 ills and powder papers were prepared. There will also be a brief Q&A sessi
