DESCRIPTION:<p><strong><em>Surgeons\, Sisters and Stonewall Jackson</em></s
 trong><strong></strong></p>\n<p>The National Museum of Civil War Medicine 
 pays homage to those who served in the Confederate Medical Corps and the c
 ivilians who assisted them in their care of the wounded.</p>\n<p>Confedera
 te Living Historians of The Blue & Gray Hospital Association will display 
 CSA medical artifacts and reproductions.  They will share many stories of 
 the 9\,000 dedicated surgeons and assistant surgeons that served the Confe
 deracy\, the organizational structure and field system adopted by the Conf
 ederate Medical Service as well as the medical distribution system.  Visit
  their displays in the Delaplaine Randall Room from 11am until 4pm</p>\n<p
 >Dr. Mathew Lively\, author of <em>Calamity at Chancellorsville: The Wound
 ing and Death of General Stonewall Jackson </em>.  This is the first full-
 length examination of the events surrounding Jackson’s wounds and the caus
 e of his death.  Join Dr. Lively from 11am until 4pm for book signing and 
 informal remarks in our Evacuation Gallery.  He’ll speak on the Death of S
 tonewall Jackson at 11:30am. </p>\n<p>President Jefferson Davis portrayed 
 by Mr. Philip McGourty will visit the NMCWM directly from the White House 
 of the Confederacy.  President Davis will share the story of the Daughters
  and Sisters of Charity support of the Confederacy from noon until 4:45 wi
 th a formal presentation from 2pm until 2:30pm Visit with President Davis 
 in the museum’s Pavilion Hospital Gallery. </p>\n<p>The program fee is inc
 luded in the Museum admission fee.  Re-admittance to the Museum the day of
  talk is welcome.  Free to NMCWM members and active volunteers.  $1.00 gar
